Big cultural moments are a cheat code for sales.
Carnival, Regatta in Sint Maarten, Kaya Kaya, King’s Day, concert nights, sports weekends, street fairs, pop-ups, etc.
When people gather, demand spikes, and businesses get a rare chance to connect with new customers, sell more in fewer hours, and turn “one-time buyers” into repeat customers.
But the real question isn’t “Can I sell at an event?” Instead, it is: How do I accept payments quickly, in multiple locations, without slowing the moment down?
Because at events, your biggest competitor isn’t another vendor…
It’s the line.
Short answer: SentooGo.
The event problem: losing opportunities
At big events, customers don’t want friction. They’re moving, dancing, walking, laughing, rushing back to friends.
If payment takes too long:
- the customer leaves,
- your staff gets stressed,
- your line looks “too busy,” so others avoid it,
- and you lose sales you already earned.
Events require speed, mobility, and flexibility.
That’s exactly why SentooGo exists.
What is SentooGo?
SentooGo helps you scale your point of sale in minutes.
You download the SentooGo app that turns your smartphone or tablet into a payment acceptance point so you can take payments from more than one spot without investing in extra hardware.
Think of it like this:
- One booth becomes two checkout points
- One stand becomes a mini-network of payment points
- One staff member becomes a mobile cashier
- One location becomes multiple “payment zones”
Which means you can sell the way events actually work: fast, mobile, and smooth.
What payment methods can you accept?
SentooGo supports multiple payment methods, so you’re ready for locals and international visitors:
1) Sentoo Pay by Bank (local)
Customers select their bank and approve the payment directly in their banking app after scanning the QR code.
2) Card payments (Visa / Mastercard)
For customers who prefer paying by card details.
3) iDEAL (Netherlands)
Great for visitors with Dutch bank accounts.
How it works (simple flow)
Creating payments in SentooGo works like a regular terminal, but on your smartphone or tablet.
- Tap the “+” sign to create a payment
- Enter the amount (and a note if needed)
- Optional: the customer can add a tip
- Ask the customer how they’d like to pay (Pay by Bank / Card / iDEAL)
- Tap the payment method
- A QR code appears
- Customer scans with their phone and completes payment on the phone
- Payment confirmed = payment received
That’s it.
Is SentooGo for you? (quick self-check)
SentooGo is a strong fit if you relate to 3 or more of the following:
- Do you get long lines during peak moments just to complete payments?
- Have you lost sales because people didn’t want to wait to pay?
- Do you want more checkout points without investing in extra hardware?
- Do you sell in multiple locations (booths, bars, pop-ups, markets, delivery)?
- Does your staff move around to collect payments?
- Are you tired of handling cash at busy moments?
- Do you need a payment setup you can start quickly for temporary locations?
- Do you want a modern checkout experience that feels simple for customers?
If yes, you’re exactly who SentooGo was made for.

The permits you need to have:
If you’re selling on the road, sidewalks, parks or temporary spots, you will need a permit (often called ‘ventvergunning’). It’s very important you start requesting your permits early, some governments indicate processing can take between 6 to 8 weeks. Try to get your paperwork in months in advance, especially for peak seasons and major events.

Practical event prep checklist
Before the event:
- Charge devices + bring power banks
- Make sure you have data coverage (or hotspot plan)
- Put stickers/signs where customers decide
- Train staff on the 15-second script
- Do 2 test payments before opening
During the event:
- Use one roaming staff as a line-buster
- Keep the “payment point” close to pickup
- If a line forms, open a second device immediately
After the event:
- Review how many payments happened at peak hour
- Identify where the bottleneck was (not enough devices? visibility? staff script?)
- Improve for the next event (the islands have events constantly)
