Moving with intention

House of Pilates began with one simple idea: movement is stronger when shared. Founded in Curaçao by three women with backgrounds in Finance, Marketing, and Pilates, the studio brings connection and community to every session.

Instead of opening separate studios, they chose to build one together. What started as an idea between three like-minded women quickly became a shared journey. Today, they describe themselves as a dream team, or simply three sisters who always have each other’s backs.

From the start, they wanted House of Pilates to feel different. Not intimidating. Not exclusive. A place where people could move, reconnect with their bodies, and feel supported, whether it’s their first class or their hundredth.

The studio focuses on Reformer Pilates and offers a calm but powerful experience. Sessions are designed to be both physical and mental, a true zen moment where clients can step away from daily stress and focus on themselves. Pilates may look gentle, but consistency brings real results. It builds strength, confidence, and awareness, without putting heavy strain on joints.

House of Pilates welcomes everyone. Women, men, beginners, experienced practitioners, locals, tourists. They offer introduction classes for those new to Pilates, helping people overcome fear and step into classes with confidence. Many clients come together: friends, mother-daughter duos, couples, and even groups celebrating special moments.

To make that possible, the founders opened a studio with ten reformer machines. Not to be big, but to be inclusive.

The challenge

Running a studio may look simple from the outside, but behind the scenes, even a small business comes with many moving parts.

Bookings are managed through an online platform, which makes scheduling easy. But payments were a different story. Clients could book sessions without paying upfront, which meant the team never had full certainty. A booked class didn’t always mean a paid class.

"We want to know that when someone books, it’s already taken care of,” the founders explain. “Happy clients are good for business, but clarity behind the scenes matters too."

They envision a flow where clients can buy credits first and then book sessions, so payments and bookings are always aligned. That way, the experience stays smooth for clients, and the team can focus on teaching and growing the studio, not on follow-ups.

At the same time, Pilates awareness on the island is growing fast. That brings more interest, but also more competition. Some days are fully booked, others quieter. To keep things balanced, House of Pilates gets creative with their schedule. Sweat & Sip Fridays, bring-a-friend classes, and special formats help encourage bookings on less busy days.

They’re also seeing more international attention. Tourists and influencers regularly find them online. Opportunities to expand beyond Curaçao have even come up, but for now, the focus remains local.

“This studio is built around Curaçao,” they say. “The culture, the people, the way we move together. We want to stay present and involved.”

The solution

For House of Pilates, working with Sentoo is about one simple goal: making things easier for clients.

Payments should feel just as calm and straightforward as the classes themselves. When the process is clear and familiar, clients can focus on showing up, moving, and enjoying the experience.

Sentoo helps support that vision by creating a smoother payment flow and laying the groundwork for future improvements. The team hopes to eventually connect payments more closely to bookings, so sessions can only be booked once credits are in place. “When things run smoothly behind the scenes, it shows in the studio,” they share. “It’s part of the experience.”

The results

Even as a young business, the impact of smoother processes is already clear.

1. More focus on clients
Less time spent on administration means more energy for teaching, guiding, and building community.

2. A better client experience
When booking and paying feels easy, clients are more likely to return and stay consistent.

3. Room to grow creatively
With payments handled properly, the team can focus on creative class formats, events, and new ideas to balance their weekly schedule.

4. A growing community
House of Pilates has created a reformer Pilates community where people feel safe, welcome, and supported. People who arrive with hesitation often leave with confidence.

What clients experience now

From a client’s perspective, House of Pilates feels calm, inclusive, and empowering.

  • They book a session.
  • They step into a safe space.
  • They move, breathe, and reconnect.

Pilates becomes more than a workout. It becomes a moment for themselves.

A clearer path forward

House of Pilates is still at the beginning of its journey. They’re learning, adapting, and growing, just like their clients.

They’re not chasing rapid expansion or franchises abroad. Instead, they’re focused on building something meaningful, rooted in Curaçao, and aligned with local needs and culture.

For them, Pilates isn’t magic. It requires commitment and consistency. But with the right environment and the right support behind the scenes, people surprise themselves with what they can do.
